It is seen that many world known physicists (and among them two Nobel Prise Winners - Gell-Mann and Weinberg) entered Organizing Committee and Advisory Board.
The invitations to attend the Sakharov Conference and to give talks were accepted by:
S.Adler, B.Allen, J.Ambjorn, B.Andersson, I.Antoniadis, R.Arnowitt, E.Asseo, E.Aubourg, I.Bakas, I.Bars, J.Bekenstein, I.Bengtsson, E.Bergshoeff, K.Berkelman, N.Berkovits, A.Bilal, L.Brink, M.Camenzind, P.Carruthers, M.Cederwall, B.Coppi, T.Courvoisier, P.Damgaard, V. de Alfaro, P.D'Eath, B.De Witt, S.Drell, R.Eichler, F.Englert, G.Esposito, D.Finkelstein, M.Francaviglia, Y.Frishman, C.Fronsdal, P.Fulde, K.Gjotterud, K.Goulianos, M.Henneaux, T.Hollowood, Y.Hosotani, Bei-Lok Hu, R.Jackiw, M.Jacob, T.Jacobson, M.Kaku, H.Kastrup, R.Khanna, K.Kikkawa, T.Kodama, J.Krolik, K.Kuchar, G.Kunstatter, D.Lamb, R.Lamb, J.Lebowitz, M.Livio, R.Loll, R.Mann, P. All persons who are included in this list are high-rank specialists in their fields of research. Among them there are world known scientists of older generation (Adler, Arnowitt, De Witt, Misner, Wheeler and many others) and young talented physicists who actively investigate the frontiers of Physics.
The full number of western participants exceeds 100. Compare it with 60 participants at the First Sakharov Conference, 5 years ago. The increase in the number of participants reflects the fact that the programme of the Conference is of great interest for physicists through the world.
Tentative agreements were given by: L.Baulieu, F.Calogero, S.Colgate, S.Deser, M.Green, N.Krikorian, H.Lipkin, C.Llewellyn Smith, W.Unruh, H.Verlinde, R.Zurek
The list of Russian participants is not completed yet. It will comprise approximately 60 names.
The cost of Conference is estimated in 100,000$. Untill now, 2/3 of necessary sum is covered from different sources.
